Energy Impact
The track record of our over 25 years of activity includes approximately 2.2 GW of wind projects developed and sold, approximately 2.8 GW of solar projects developed to Ready-to-Build stage and sold and approximately 5 GW of total installed capacity (wind and solar) delivered.
We also hold the position of Romania’s first and one of the largest large-scale private BESS investors, with targeted 492 MWh operational by end-2026.
Recent projects
01
The signing of five-year operation, maintenance (O&M) and dispatching contracts with DRI for its renewable energy assets in Romania owned by the Ukrainian group.
02
The construction of a storage facility on the site of the former Petrila mine, alongside the plans for a factory producing components for the renewable energy sector.
03
Designing and obtaining planning permission for a 30 MW data centre project in Romania, which will serve as a pilot for a broader strategy linking renewable energy, batteries and AI infrastructure.
04
Accelerating, together with the Romanian storage battery manufacturer Prime Batteries Technology, the implementation of energy storage systems in dedicated warehouses.
05
Our expansion in Sweden with a new 20 MWh energy storage battery project, designed specifically for the Nordic climate.
In terms of economic impact, by allocating capital to energy storage and other solutions that support the flexibility of the energy system, we help address the challenges associated with the growing share of renewable energy and contribute to maintaining a more stable balance between energy supply and demand.
Our activities contribute to job creation, both directly and indirectly, while our partnerships with local suppliers help strengthen local businesses and supply chains. Monsson Group currently has over 390 full-time employees performing their work across the Group’s business locations in Romania, Sweden, Germany, Croatia, Italy and Finland.
We see education as a continuous process, from early learning to the ongoing development of professionals throughout their careers. Through RenewAcad, Romania’s first and largest renewable energy training infrastructure in close collaboration with the Fundatia Șanse Egale, we provide adult training and re-skilling programmes and support social causes we believe in.
In 2025, the Group invested approximately EUR 1,145,900 in employee training and professional certification programmes, as part of our CSR initiative, developed with RenewAcad or with the “Sanse Egale” Foundation.
Between 2021 and 2026, more than 12,000 participants enrolled in our renewable energy training courses. Over this period, we issued more than 18,000 GWO certificates and over 5,500 certificates for other training programmes. Over 5 community training programs trained over 500 people living nearby the projects our customers build renewable energy plans and creating for them job opportunities near their place of living.
We help renewable energy professionals stay ahead of technological change through specialized training aligned with the sector’s evolving needs. Our programs range from workplace safety across wind, solar PV, and energy storage to advanced technical courses in wind turbine tower inspection and repair, Crane & Hoist Inspection & Maintenance (CHIM), Photovoltaic System Installation, and Battery Management Systems.
